More thinks on what I will present this semester

My plan for this semester has changed quite a bit, from the original concept of “ Mum and Dad’s 50 years in Tassie 1954-2004 revisited. With a return to Tassie now likely sooner rather than later a strongish possibility it seems strange to undertake a Tassie theme, in what may be my last year on the mainland so I am musing on something like the following:

·      Major Project: Folio for Studio:  Practice & Research E & F
  •              A series 20 or so 5"x7" water colours  landscape sketches trying to catch the spirit of the rivers,    in an effort to get away from my emphasis on accuracy... hopefully with lots of paper showing through. Emphasis on the shoreline. Actually the concept of the Darling, the Anabranch and the Murray forming a Wentworth Island is attractive.
  •            Pencil and ink drawings of each of the same subject matter
  •       Photos of each of the same subject matter. Note the photos only to be taken after the paintings/ drawings are completed...important that these are dome on site not from photos.
So that eventually there will be a number (around 20) of sets featuring a water colour sketch, drawing and photo of each topic

Four Assignments Visual arts media workshop E & F

  •  A series of A4 water colours/gouache  landscapes of the area of Wentworth Town. Possibly Steve's equivalent of Monet's Garden, may include some bird paintings (not the ones I have already done)
  • A series probably around 20 pencil and ink (possibly pastels) A4's of people working, in the orchards, driving tractors etc 'cos I can draw things and I shouldn't be ashamed of it.
  • A series of prints based on details of the sand dunes...working on this with whatever Sam has prepared for me
  • A series of rubber/lino prints hand coloured around A5 featuring natural and introduced vegetation   red gum, vine, orange leaves etc.
